How it works
From “it hurts” to a plan you can follow
Kinehub turns standard physiotherapy exercises into a short daily session, checks it is safe for you to start, and adjusts as you go. Here is exactly what happens, and what it won't do.
The first five minutes
Safe to start, then started
- 1
Tell us where it hurts
Where it hurts, how much, what you want to get back to and how long you have each day. You can change any answer later from your profile.
- 2
A safety check comes first
Seven questions about the warning signs a physiotherapist asks about first. If an answer means you should be examined, we say who to contact and how soon, and we don't give you exercises.
- 3
Your first session
A short session built around where it hurts, starting easy and sized to the time you said you have. Every exercise has written steps, one cue to remember and a clear count for each set, and most have a demo video.
Every day after that
Built for real weeks, not perfect ones
Two taps for your pain
Rate your pain before and after each session. Week by week, your average pain before sessions becomes a trend you can read: the number that says whether this is working.
A plan that moves with you
After a session we ask how one exercise felt. Too hard, and it steps back straight away. Too easy twice running, and we offer the next level or an extra set: making it harder is your call.
Bad days are part of it
Having a flare-up? The flare-up plan gives you three days of the gentlest version, with softer reminders and a check-in at the end. Back after a break, you restart a step lower, not where you left off.
Short on time
A five-minute quick session keeps things going on busy days. Hands-free mode keeps the screen on and reads each exercise out, so you can prop your phone up and listen.
Pregnancy and after birth
Add your due date and the plan follows your weeks: nothing lying face down, and nothing that keeps you flat on your back for long from 16 weeks. After the birth, it switches to gentle postnatal exercises.
Something to keep you going
A streak, a weekly goal and badges for the milestones that matter, with your next badge always in view. The app never scolds you for a missed day: rest is part of rehab, and Pro members can mark a rest day so it doesn't break their streak.
The bigger picture
Check-ins that show the change
A weekly check-in
Sixty seconds once a week on how things are going. It works even in a week you did nothing.
A monthly check
Two minutes on the everyday activities that matter to you, scored the way physiotherapists measure progress.

What Kinehub is not
Not a diagnosis
Kinehub can't examine you. The condition pages help you recognise common problems, and each one lists the signs that mean it may be something else.
Not an emergency service
If you have any of the warning signs on a condition page, don't start the exercises: get checked, and in an emergency call your local emergency number (999 in the UK).
Not instead of your physio
If a physiotherapist has given you exercises, follow theirs. Kinehub is for the time between appointments, and for the record you bring to them.
Not personal medical advice
The exercises and advice follow standard physiotherapy guidance, and most demo videos come from the NHS, hospitals and physiotherapists. They are general information, not a plan written for you alone, so stop and get checked if something doesn't feel right.
